About Us

When Mark was twelve years old his father gave him a book titled: Houdini His Life and Art.  After reading and rereading this book, Mark was interested in performing illusions.  His mother bought him a magic set and he was soon performing for friends and family.  He attended Tannen's Magic Camp as a youth.  In his twenties Mark continued to enhance his technique and performance.  He joined The Society of American Magicians and The International Brotherhood of Magicians.  In the mid-ninties, he owned and operated a very successful magic shop, Party Magic, in Manchester, NH.  When Mark became a Dad, his children took top priority and he closed the store.

As his children became more active in church activities Mark followed them and soon became the Game Director ("The Game Guy" as he is affectionately called.) for the AWANA program at his church.   This led him back to his interest in magic.  Knowing that God had blessed him with a talent of performing illusions and knowing the value visual aids add to a presentation of the Gospel, Mark started performing illusions again.  He joined the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and is mentoring to enhance the talent God has given him.  He firmly believes that God has called him to a Ministry of "expressing spiritual truths" (I Cor. 2:13) through illusions, "For nothing is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37).

Sylvia has had an interest in magic since she was young. Her favorite books to check out of the library were books on magic and of course Nancy Drew Mysteries! From the late seventies through the eighties Sylvia was an active partner in joke shops located in Massachusetts and New Hampshire where she regularly performed magic tricks for the customers.

When she and Mark were first married she often accompanied him as he perfected his talent. Once their children were born magic took a backseat to being a Mom! She is now enjoying her role as Mark’s assistant and looks forward to each performance. Sylvia has a unique testimony that young and old alike find fascinating as she shares her experience of the truth of eternity in heaven through Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Mark and Sylvia’s daughter, Charlotte, is named after Charlotte Pendragon, a very talented female illusionist.  A few years ago Charlotte was honored to meet her namesake. Charlotte is an eighth grader who plays on her Middle School basketball team. She is a pianist who regularly performs at the Boody’s home church. She also was taught magic from an early age. When she was eight she auditioned for ZOOM by performing magic. She is a lovely assistant for her Dad.
